Cory Innes, President

Cory’s retail experience both in and out of the real estate and development industry has afforded him a well-rounded understanding of all facets of the commercial development business. He understands the importance of detail and the impact it has on results for both Bedford and its partners. His unparalleled discipline coupled with the high expectations of his partners, keep projects on time and budgets on track.

Prior to founding Bedford, Cory had a 12 year career with Suncor Energy (previously Petro-Canada), with a focus on acquisitions, development, leasing, expropriations, contaminated sites, and project management.

Cory’s education includes a Masters in Business from Queens University in Kingston, ON (2005), and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, AB (2000). 

Robert Tod, Senior Advisor

For over 35 years, Bob has established a solid reputation as a leader in the real estate development industry of Western Canada.

Prior to joining Bedford, Bob worked for three major retail corporations, giving him an intimate knowledge of retail development requirements and approval processes across all Western Canadian markets.

Bob’s diverse experience and his years in the industry has afforded him the insight and expertise required to deal with changing markets and diverse challenges.

Bob’s education includes a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan (1974). 

WAYNE KNASH, PROJECT MANAGER

Wayne began a career in the Commercial Construction industry in Spring if 1986, with 20 years being site related and the last 19 years working as a Project Manager. 

Having worked his way through the industry in Saskatchewan,  Alberta, and British Columbia, he started out as a site laborer, working his way up to a site carpenter (Journeyman Carpentry Certificate), then moving onto becoming a site supervisor, and eventually taking on the role of a Project Manager. 

Wayne's expertise in the industry was gained as a result of being involved with the construction of Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings,  Commercial Rental Units, Multi-level Residential Condominiums/Apartments, Hospitality/Hotels, and Assisted Living Facilities using construction methods such as Wooden Framed, Structural Steel Framed, and Precast Concrete.
